Eiffage Énergie Systèmes is agent for a global performance contract in the CD28's secondary schools

Eure-et-Loir Departmental Council (CD28) has signed a seven-year global performance contract (2021-2028) with a consortium of six companies, of which Eiffage Energie Systèmes is the leader. This is all part of the process of bringing ten secondary schools into compliance with the tertiary sector decree.

Our experts are orchestrating multi-trade works, such as replacing technical heating and ventilation equipmentand roofing, and modernizingkitchens, in order to reduce energy consumption inthe ten secondary schools managed and maintained by the CD28. This work is being carried out by our Chartres-Mignières branch (28). The consortium is also responsible for ensuring compliance with disabled access requirements (for the sanitary facilities, science rooms, lifts, etc.), reorganizing the lighting, anti-intrusion and video surveillance systems, refreshing paintwork, creating suspended ceilingsand replacing flexible floors, as well as certain demolition and asbestos removal operations.

"Wehave committed to reducing energy consumption by 30% over the next seven years in these 10 establishments managed by the CD28. In order to achieve thisgoal, we have re-roofed the school in La Loupe and undertaken thermal insulation work on schoolexteriors in Toury and Maintenon, among other things. We have also installed a Building Management System (BMS) which will enable us to anticipate breakdowns, carry out a complete remote check-up of the facilities and detect any energy wastage," explained project manager Olivier Blanquart.

Energy efficiency is not the only aim of the six local companies involved in this contract. In agreement with the project owner, they have committed to bringing the existing installations into compliance, while improving daily comfort for users. This multi-faceted project involves a whole series of complementary works which the consortium must complete by 31 August 2023, accompanied by accurate and thorough operation and maintenance.
