Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li Attends the Reception Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and the Republic of the Congo

On December 18, 2024, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li attended a reception celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Republic of the Congo, and had a friendly exchange with Ambassador of the Republic of the Congo to China Jacques Jean Luc Nyanga on the relations between China and the Republic of the Congo, as well as China-Africa relations.

Deng Li extended congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Republic of the Congo and said that the friendship between China and the Republic of the Congo has a long history and is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Denis Sassou Nguesso, the relations between China and the Republic of the Congo and practical cooperation in various fields have developed smoothly and achieved fruitful results. The Republic of the Congo serves as the African co-chair of the new session of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), bringing new impetus and new opportunities to cooperation between China and the Republic of the Congo, as well as China-Africa cooperation. China is ready to work with the Republic of the Congo to promote further development of the relations between China and the Republic of the Congo as well as between China and Africa.

Jacques Jean Luc Nyanga said that bilateral relations have gone through a glorious 60-year journey, achieved extraordinary accomplishments and benefited the people of both countries. The Republic of the Congo is very honored to serve as the African co-chair of the FOCAC and is willing to take this opportunity to deepen communication and coordination with China, carry forward the traditional friendship between the Republic of the Congo and China as well as between Africa and China, and lift the relations between the Republic of the Congo and China, Africa-China relations, and practical cooperation in various fields to a new level.
