Four female scientists at BAM give insights into their work and tips for girls and women interested in a career in research on Women in Science Day 2024.

Every year on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a reminder of the barriers and inequalities that women and girls still face in their pursuit of scientific education and careers. At the same time, it underlines the indispensable role that female researchers play in the development of innovations and in everyday scientific life.
At BAM, female chemists, physicists, and engineers work to ensure the safety and further development of technologies and materials. In the following, some of them give insights into their work, explain their motivation for a scientific career and share advice for girls and women interested in science and research:
