Public Hearings To Be Held For the Route 1 and Enon Road and Onville Road Projects

The Stafford County Department of Capital Projects will host two design public hearings in March regarding Transportation Road Bond Projects. The Route 1 and Enon Road Roadway Improvement Project public hearing will take place on March 13, 2024, and the Onville Road Widening Project public hearing takes place on March 27, 2024.

The Route 1 and Enon Road Roadway Improvement Project is a proposed project to widen approximately 0.63 miles of Enon Road (Route 753) from 0.02 miles west of the intersection with Beauregard Drive to the intersection with Richmond Highway (US‐1). The meeting takes place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Stafford High School, 68 Stafford Indians Lane, Stafford, VA 22405. The Onville Road Widening Project proposes providing increased capacity and improved safety for Onville Road from Worth Avenue to Hulvey Drive. The plans include the construction of a continuous two-way left turn lane (TWLTL) and sidewalks on both sides of the road for pedestrian connectivity along the corridor. The public hearing for the Onville Road Widening Project will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Anne Moncure Elementary School, 120 Juggins Road, Stafford, VA 22556.
