One Woman Injured in Capitol Hill Shooting

Seattle Police Officers are investigating after a woman was injured in a shooting in Capitol Hill Saturday night.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., while on patrol in the area, officers heard multiple gunshots from a parking lot in the 1400 block of Broadway.

While officers were responding to the location of gunfire, they saw multiple vehicles flee the area at high rates-of-speed. 911 callers reported hearing people screaming.

A shooting scene was located, and officers found damaged windows, blood, and multiple pieces of evidence including bullet casings and fragments. No victims were located.

While police processed the scene for evidence a woman with a gunshot wound was dropped off at Harborview Medical Center. She is in stable condition.

The circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown at this time. Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will be leading the investigation.
