The Dr. Howard Dickler Housing Advocate Award honors a community member who best exhibits the spirit of Dr. Howard Dickler, on housing advocacy: fearless, tireless and dedicated to our year-round community. Nominees must be a Nantucket year-round or seasonal resident.

A donation will be made in the name of the awardee to a housing-related organization of their choosing. The awardee will be selected by the Affordable Housing Trust and announced at Town Meeting.

In 2023, the inaugural Dr. Howard Dickler Housing Advocate Award was awarded to Billy Cassidy, who exemplifies the enduring legacy of community stewardship and advocacy for affordable housing on Nantucket.

To submit a nomination, please write a brief description of why the nominee deserves to be recognized, and send it to Ellis Ramos, [email protected], or mail to the Housing & Real Estate Office at 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554.

Nominations must be received by April 12 at 4:00pm.
