GSO nominations for executive board and council members, open March 25

The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is accepting nominations for executive board members as well as graduate student academic council representatives. The nomination form will open Monday, March 25, and close Friday, April 12, 2024. Please consider nominating yourself or others for a leadership role for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.

The GSO represents all graduate students enrolled in the Graduate School. The GSO executive board meets with the Dean of the Graduate School, graduate committees, graduate students, and Marquette University administration.

GSO leadership positions include:

Executive Board

  • President: Lead meetings, oversee e-board meetings
  • Vice-President: Email graduate student department reps, council members, keep track of committees
  • Community Integration/Engagement: Plans a community event
  • Communications: Respond to emails, run social media
  • Logistics: Coordinate events, finances

GSO Committee Positions

  • University Assessment Committee
  • Committee on Diversity and Equity
  • Committee on Academic Technology
  • University Board for Student Media

GSO Council Positions - Representatives are needed from each department from the colleges and schools listed below. Council representatives will meet with the e-board to represent their academic colleagues and to discuss concerns or activities in each program.
