The $443k project will provide culvert replacement and other drainage improvements at four locations in and near Shasta, from 0.2 mile east of J.F. Kennedy Memorial Drive to North Slope Drive.
Lining operations are planned for the evening of September 19th and sampling work is planned for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday of next week. Motorists will encounter one-way traffic control with up to 15-minute delays between 6:30 p.m. and 12 a.m. for lining operations and 30-minute delays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for sampling activities. There will then be a pause until early-mid October when remaining excavation operations will take place, with one to two weeks of one-way traffic control, Mondays-Fridays with up to 15-minute delays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. The project is currently anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
