Friends of Black Canyon invite interested parties to gather

Montrose, Colo. - The Friends of the Black Canyon group is welcoming like-minded park advocates to a meeting on Tuesday, April 16 in Montrose. This local non-profit seeks to enhance the connection between the local community and the national parks through support park activities, projects, fundraising, and advocacy.

All interested parties are invited to discover what Friends of Black Canyon is all about. Please attend this informational meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, April 16 at The Campers Hub located at 18265 US-550 south of Montrose.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm for refreshments. Starting at 7:00 pm, Past President Joel Evans and Park Superintendent Stuart West will share thoughts on how the Friends group can develop and grow with increasing levels of involvement.
