The Francophone Institute of Financial Regulation (IFREFI) is the organization of financial market authorities in the French-speaking world. IFREFI's mission is to promote training, coordination and technical cooperation among its members, and to study any matter relating to financial regulation.

The 21st annual meeting of IFREFI was held in Tunis in hybrid format on 31 May, 1 and 2 June 2023. On the occasion of this annual meeting, the FSMA was elected to preside over the work of IFREFI for the next 2 years.

A dialogue with Tunisian financial market players held on 31 May focused on the topic of "Information quality: a challenge for companies, a necessity for investors". Jean-Paul Servais, Chairman of the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) and of IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) spoke during a panel addressing "the Challenges of extra-financial information and performance". His remarks addressed, among other things, the work done at international level by IOSCO and the ISSB to protect investors by mitigating the risk of greenwashing on financial markets, and by contributing to drawing up standards for sustainability reporting that will benefit issuers and investors alike.

The 21st annual meeting also provided an opportunity for supervisors to exchange views on the crowdfunding regimes currently in force in the various jurisdictions.
