English as a Second Language for Adults

Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., will offer classes in English as a Second Language (ESL) beginning May 1, 2023.

The classes will provide learning activities to improve students' communication skills -understanding, speaking, reading, and writing English. Class sessions will vary to accommodate students with little English ability and those with advanced proficiency.

These sessions will assist ESL students in attaining a wide range of goals, such as improved communication with their families and community, better employment, or preparation for higher education. There will be afternoon and evening classes.

Monday/Wednesday Beginner classes:

• 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday/Thursday Advanced classes:

• 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Classes will be at Branigan Library and will be taught by Mr. Lynn Austin. Registration is required, and all classes are free.
