Thin Line Fest Road Closure and Detour Information

Denton, TX - April 24, 2024 - Thin Line Fest returns to Denton on April 24 through 28. In conjunction with the event, parking restrictions and road closures with detours will be in place around the festival area.

The following street closures and detours will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

Closure Details:

  • W. Hickory Street between N. Elm Street and N. Locust Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
  • W. Oak Street between N. Elm Street and N. Locust Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Detour Routes:

  • Traffic on the closed portions of W. Hickory Street and W. Oak Street will be redirected along W. Pecan Street, Mulberry Street, N. Elm Street, and N. Locust Street.
  • Detour signs and instructions will be posted prominently with electronic signage along the affected routes.

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based on evolving or unexpected conditions. The public should adhere to posted parking restrictions and utilize designated public parking locations or ride-share services.

Due to an increased pedestrian presence, motorists could encounter delays in the vicinity of the event and may wish to consider alternative routes. Businesses located within the footprint of the event will remain open per their normal business hours.

Thin Line Fest, the state's longest-running film festival since 2007, combines documentary films, music, and photography into one event. General admission to the festival is free to those registered for the event. We thank the community and visitors for their cooperation and look forward to this vibrant celebration of the arts.
