Exciting future secured for Lightwater Leisure Centre

Surrey Heath Borough Council is delighted to announce a new 20-year lease agreement for Lightwater Leisure Centre with Lifestyle Fitness working in partnership with The Lightwater Playing Fields Association (LPFA). This exciting news means the Centre will continue to be operated by the local community working together with leading national operator Lifestyle Fitness.

The Leisure Centre is now progressing with planning applications for the installation of six Padel Courts at the centre, and Electric Vehicle charging points in the car parks.  There will be investments of over £500k to install these offers.

Councillor John Skipper, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, Surrey Heath Borough Council said:

"I am so pleased that the LPFA & Lifestyle Fitness will continue their successful management of Lightwater Leisure Centre. Their investment and commitment to the success of the centre is fantastic and ensures the centre will remain a great place for the local community to get fit, socialise and enjoy their leisure time."

The LPFA Trustees, said "We are delighted to extend the agreement, which will unlock further investment in the Leisure Centre. We are grateful to our long-term partner, Lifestyle Fitness for their commitment and investment in the facilities. This next phase of improvements will provide our community with even greater choice to keep fit & healthy".
