How Will Inflation End? Three Scenarios.

Event Date: Monday, September 26, 2022

Inflation is on everyone's mind and questions abound: How long will inflation last? Will it trigger a recession? What does stagflation mean for the economy? Join us for a discussion on these and other inflation-related topics during a hybrid presentation by William R. Emmons, assistant vice president and lead economist in the Division of Supervision, Credit and Learning at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Emmons will explore three possible inflation-ending scenarios while examining the impact and likelihood of each. A panel discussion and Q&A session will follow his presentation.

This hybrid event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend, but registration is required. You have the option to attend the event virtually or in-person, but in-person attendance is limited. To keep our facilities as safe as possible, all visitors eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to have received at least their primary series of vaccine doses to enter any of the St. Louis Fed's facilities.
