Bridge Painting Project Continues on James Street in Wysox and North Towanda Townships, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised a bridge painting project continues on Route 1041 (James Street) in Wysox and North Towanda Townships, Bradford County. The bridge is located between the intersection with Route 6 and the intersection with Route 1043 (Sheshequin Road).

The week of Saturday, August 5, 2023, through Friday, September 1, 2023, the contractor, North Star Painting Company will be cleaning and painting the substructure of the bridge over the North Branch Susquehanna River. Motorists can expect lane shifts and are urged to drive with caution in the area.

Work will be performed seven days a week during daylight hours.

North Star Painting Company is the primary contractor on this $2,189,000 bridge painting project. Work includes bridge painting and other miscellaneous construction on James Street in North Towanda and Wysox Townships, from approximately 0.4 miles northwest of the intersection with Route 6 to the intersection with Sheshequin Road, and Route 6 in West Burlington Township, from approximately 0.5 miles northwest of the intersection with Steam Hollow Drive to 0.8 miles east of the intersection with Route 4013 (Berwick Turnpike Road), all in Bradford County. Work is expected to be completed on this contract in November of 2023.
