Secretary Bárcena expressed her sympathy for the people of Acapulco due to the difficult moments they experienced after the hurricane.

"I want you to know that this is a passport office, yes, but it is also a liaison office with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so that if someday you have someone living abroad (...) who wants to know where their relatives are or something else with which the Ministry can provide support, this is the place," she said.

The office issues tourist passports and legalizes Mexican public documents for their use abroad. It is located on the 1st floor of the Copacabana Congress Center and is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm. The Guerrero passport office opened on March 18, 2000.
