Wave appoints Navantec Technical Solutions as distributor in Turkey

Wave International has appointed Navantec as its Turkish distributor. Founded in 2017, Navantec services the growing workboat, leisure boats and yachts, superyacht and commercial boatbuilding sectors in Turkey. The company employs over 15 staff and is headquartered in Istanbul with offices and a warehouse in Antalya. With specialist engineering and product support services, the company includes engineers, technicians, and an electrician as well as administration and support staff.

"We chose Navantec to become our distributor in Turkey because the company has an outstanding reputation for the brands it already represents, many of which are complementary to Wave's filter products," says Wave International Managing Director, Paul Gullett. Wave's products include Wavestream bilge filters, suitable for leisure yachts and workboats, through to the fully integrated Wavebrite SMART and IMO-approved Wave MiniBOSS. "We specialise in filter products which are designed to fit all sizes of vessels and help ensure cleaner oceans and waterways, an important factor anywhere in the world," he continues.

Navantec recently exhibited at the Bosphorus Boat Show displaying the full range of Wave products on the stand, with one product - Waveshine - attracting particular attention. "There was a lot of interest in the Waveshine system because most of the visitors were boat owners and captains," said Ege Bal, Sales Engineer at Navantec. "One of the main complaints in marinas is the quality of tap water and Waveshine is the best solution to ensure clean filtered non-streaky water." He reported that Wavestream and Wavebrite were also very popular, especially with boat builders, thanks to their compact design making them suitable for new builds and retrofitting.
