MFA Nasser Bourita Holds talks with his Senegalese counterpart

The two ministers discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations, as well as issues of common interest and the situation in the region.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways and means of further developing bilateral relations, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Senegal's new Head of State, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

Relations between Morocco and Senegal are excellent, covering all political, economic, cultural, social and spiritual fields.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference, scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Banjul, in the presence of Ambassador Mr. Mohamed Methqal, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), the Chargé d'Affaires of the Moroccan Embassy in the Gambia, Mr. Ahmed Belhaj, and the Senegalese Minister's staff.

Mr. Nasser Bourita previously held a series of meetings with several of his counterparts taking part in the Islamic summit which will open on Saturday in the Gambian capital, in the presence of the heads of state and government of OIC member countries.
