NJIT Baseball Dominates UMass Lowell to Earn Series Clinching Victory

The NJIT baseball team clinched its second-straight series victory on Saturday, as the Highlanders dominated their way to a 10-2 victory at Yogi Berra Stadium.

The Highlanders (10-15, 3-2 America East) put together one of their most complete games of the season as the offense tallied 12 hits, the pitching allowed just two runs, and the defense didn't commit an error.

NJIT found itself down 1-0 for the second-straight game and just as they did in Friday's 4-3 win over the Riverhawks (8-15, 1-3 America East), the Highlanders rallied, this time with a five-run fifth inning.

After four scoreless innings, captain got the Highlanders on the board in the fifth, putting the ball in play with the infield back to score .
