Join us for a remote Zoom discussion with actor/EP Brett Goldstein & writer/producer Bill Lawrence of TED LASSO. This is an 'Ask Me Anything' style Q+A. Member participation encouraged. This session will last approximately one hour.

PANELIST BIO

Brett Goldstein is a British Actor, Writer, Comedian and Producer. He has most recently written and stars in AppleTV's Comedy Ted Lasso as Roy Kent, as well as writing and producing and co-creating AMC's anthology sci-fi series Soulmates. He previously wrote and appeared in the film SuperBob and Channel 4 comedy-drama Derek as Tom, as well as having written for The Catherine Tate Live Show and the Nan sitcom with Catherine Tate and writing/performing four solo stand up shows of his own.

Bill Lawrence is an award-winning television writer, producer and director. His latest project through his Doozer Productions is WBTV's Ted Lasso for Apple TV+, starring Jason Sudeikis. Sudeikis and Lawrence serve as co-creators and executive producers on the series which launched in August. Other projects in development for Doozer include re-boots of Head of the Class and Clone High.

Lawrence created and executive-produced Scrubs and co-created Cougar Town, Spin City, and Clone High. Scrubs, which was twice nominated for an Emmy Award, was also named a Future Classic by the TV Land cable network and was the winner of both a Humanitas Award and an Imagen Award.

SYNOPSIS

Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.

In addition to starring, Sudeikis serves as executive producer, alongside Bill Lawrence (Scrubs via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer's Jeff Ingold also serves as an executive producer with Liza Katzer as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.
