Dentons adds its fifth partner for 2021, welcoming Corporate Partner Andrew Shearwood

Perth-Dentons continues its momentum on growth, welcoming its fifth new partner for 2021, Andrew Shearwood.
Andrew will join the Dentons team as a corporate partner in the Perth office, a move which further strengthens the Firm's client offering in Western Australia, and bolsters its national corporate practice.
Specialising in corporate and commercial law, Andrew brings almost 40 years' experience advising on mergers and acquisitions; funds management and financial services; equity capital markets; regulation of listed and unlisted companies and their directors; and general corporate governance across industries including financial services, property development and management, agribusiness and resources.
As a trusted adviser to boards and senior management of many listed and unlisted enterprises operating in Western Australia, Australia and overseas, Andrew has experienced many business cycles and most phases of corporate life.
Andrew's exposure to advising companies, whether it be in relation to establishment, funding, stock exchange listing, takeover or insolvency of those companies, has resulted in a practical understanding of corporate governance and the regulation of various industries.
Dentons' Australia Region Chair and Australasia CEO, Doug Stipanicev said Andrew's appointment complements Dentons' corporate practice by further expanding Dentons' offering to clients in Western Australia.
