Defence Secretary attends the Global Mindfulness Summit 2024

Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne attended the Global Mindfulness Summit (GMS) 2024 conducted at the Nagananda International Buddhist University in Kelaniya today (May 03).

The conference is organised by the Sati Pasal Foundation and the Ministry of Education, under the leadership of Ven Udairiyagama Dhammajeeva Thera and Minister of Education Hon. Dr. Susil Premajayantha.

The Minister of Education graced the event as the Chief Guest at the two-day conference that commenced today (May 03). It is being held as a critical step forward in the programme to practise Mindfulness within the school system.
