Miller Slams Proposed IRA 45X Tax Credit Rule from the Treasury Department

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) released the following statement slamming the proposed rule put out by the Treasury Department which allows foreign companies to profit from American subsidies and receive manufacturing tax credits.

"The combination of the poorly written Inflation Reduction Act and the Treasury Department's careless proposed rule on the 45X tax credits shows the Biden Administration's complete disregard for American jobs and the U.S. economy," said Congresswoman Miller. "Under President Biden's weak guidance for yet another IRA provision, $125 billion of American tax dollars will be handed to Chinese manufacturers. American taxpayers should not be the source of funding for foreign adversaries. Congress must pass my bill with Senator Marco Rubio, the Protecting American Advanced Manufacturing Act, which will ensure Chinese companies do not get a penny of hardworking American tax dollars."
