This issue's Message from the Administrator and top story highlight Youth Justice Action Month and OJJDP's focus on keeping young people out of confinement and in their communities. The newsletter also features input provided by youth for the Office's Preventing Youth Hate Crimes & Identity-Based Bullying Initiative, and a new OJJDP program emphasizing collaborative approaches between schools and community-based organizations to deter violent crime.
