In the first quarter, Ningbo Airport Customs supervised a total of 597 inbound and outbound cargo planes, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.
It is noticeable that Ningbo Airport has also opened "truck flight" transportation services with 13 other airports in different regions such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Hefei, achieving preliminary connectivity among major cities in the Yangtze River Delta.
"Truck flights" are fixed ground transportation routes opened between airports and destinations, and are an extension of air transportation, also known as "virtual flights". Statistics show that in the first quarter of this year, the cargo volume of "truck flights" supervised by Ningbo Airport Customs exceeded 1000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 140%. Among them, the cargo volume of "truck flights" between Ningbo Airport and the Yangtze River Delta region amounted to nearly 540 tons, accounting for over 50%.
