Appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Sydney's inner west

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney's inner west.

Sophia Tadros, aged 17, was last seen leaving a university campus on Parramatta Road, Camperdown, on foot towards a shopping centre on Bay Street, Glebe, about 2.45pm today (Thursday 11 August 2022), .

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries to locate Sophia after she failed to return to the campus and could not be located.

Family and police hold serious concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

Sophia is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 165cm - 170cm tall, of slim build, with a tanned complexion, brown frizzy/curly hair, and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a bright orange jumper, bright orange shorts, and blue shoes.

Sophia is known to frequent the Bexley, Hurstville, Strathfield and Blacktown areas.

She may also be around the Pyrmont Bridge or Redfern Railway Station areas.
