Give art a spin! Interactive bike-themed art coming to downtown Tempe this April

Sets of three bikes will be located at three different locations: Center Pointe Plaza, the Mill Avenue U.S. Post Office and just north of the historic Andre Building on Fourth Street and Mill Avenue.

Bikes will be available for free to the public 24/7.

The bicycles themselves are a work of art created by LeMonde Studio, and the installation has been showcased around the world, including Singapore and New York City.

In Tempe, the bikes will project visual art by local artists Jake Early, Chris Jagmin and Shachi Kale when activated by a person's pedaling, along with songs by Tempe Playlist musicians Bad Cactus Brass Band, Bogan Via, Cheap Hotels, Danielle Durack, Miguel Melgoza, One Way Sky, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, Pijama Piyama, Prime Society, Saraswathi Jones, Solh and Tindal Muzic

This temporary art piece is presented by the City of Tempe's Tempe Public Art program with support from Downtown Tempe Authority and the Tempe Community Arts Tempe Playlist program.
