Gilbert, Ariz. - Gilbert Water Conservation's free landscape workshops are back this fall. For the first time, residents will have the chance to take home a low-water-use plant valued at $50. One plant will be randomly given away at each session.
Everyone who attends the workshops will also be entered into a final raffle to win a smart irrigation controller. The more sessions a participant attends, the more entries they'll receive.
These classes are beneficial for anyone looking to help save water outdoors, which is where most of Gilbert's water is used. With a shortage on the Colorado River, it's more important than ever that we all do our part to help safeguard our water supply for current and future generations.
Classes begin Thursday, October 12 at the Southeast Regional Library and are free for Gilbert residents to attend.
Gilbert Water Conservation will also offer a Gilbert Water 101 Workshop on Saturday, October 28 at 10:30 AM to share how Gilbert's prepared for the Colorado River shortage with a diverse water portfolio.
