John Wallbillich, M.D., gynecologic oncologist and member of the Gynecologic Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, explained the statistics of women diagnosed and dying with cervical cancer, including by race and location. However, Dr. Wallbillich said routine screenings and the HPV vaccine are helping to prevent this cancer and catch it early.
