Enjoy a Playdate at the Library's Winter Toddler Playgroup

Enjoy Free Play Time with Your Toddler, Thursdays at the Downtown Library: Here's an easy way to arrange play dates for your toddler - bring them to the new Winter Toddler Playgroup at the Rock Island Downtown Library.

The free playtimes for ages 5 and under are offered on Thursdays from 10 am to noon in the Downtown Library Children's Room, 401 19^th Street. Upcoming dates are Thursdays, Dec. 7, Dec. 14, 21, and January 4. The series is scheduled to wrap up Feb. 29, just in time for spring weather.

The Children's Room staff will have toys and activities available for toddlers and their caregivers to play with together. "In addition to offering unstructured time for toddlers to meet old and new friends, each playgroup is also a great way for parents and caregivers to get out of the house and meet other adults," said Ranell Dennis, Children's Librarian.

The event is free and open to any toddler accompanied by an adult. Each playgroup is offered on a drop-in basis so caregivers can stay for as long (or little) as they like.
