Parks on Tap returns to Philadelphia for its seventh season

Philadelphia's pop-up beer garden that gives back to parks kicks off on April 17 at the Azalea Garden.This family-friendly and free event will travel to a new park every week for 26 weeks. This year it will visit 19 parks and run until September 29. Proceeds benefit maintenance and upkeep of Philadelphia's parks.

Event hours:

Wednesday-Friday: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturdays and Sundays: Noon to 10 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of fare, including:

  • local beers on tap, wine, and cocktails;
  • non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, lemonade and water;
  • delicious delectables.

Returning this year is Love Your Park Pale Ale. Mainstay Independent Brewing Companycreated the beer. The company made it to encourage people to volunteer at their local park.

The food menu includes cheese steaks, hot dogs, burgers, salads, pretzel nuggets and more.

Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go. Vendors accept cash and credit cards. All locations include seating and tables, games, and restrooms. Seating is first come, first served. Be sure to visit Parks on Tap's website before you go.

Parks on Tap began in 2016 as a way to give back to neighborhood parks. A part of all proceeds benefits each park.

Parks on Tap was created by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancyin partnership with FCM Hospitality.
