Darya-Varia Officially Continues CSR Program: Kelurahan Sehat 2023

PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk (Darya-Varia) has officially launched the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Kelurahan Sehat 2023. The kick-off event took place at the Citeureup Factory of Darya-Varia on September 27, 2023, marking a tangible step by the company in supporting efforts to improve the health and well-being of the Indonesian community.

Darya-Varia invites all elements of the community, including local government at the neighborhood and district levels, along with local agricultural and fisheries departments, to actively participate in Kelurahan Sehat Program. This program is a social responsibility initiative by Darya-Varia that has been in place since 2019. It encompasses various activities aimed at raising public awareness about healthy lifestyles, maintaining environmental cleanliness, providing medical equipment, and empowering communities to create a healthy environment with positive economic and community self-reliance outcomes.

The series of Kelurahan Sehat 2023 programs include the cultivation of tilapia and Nile tilapia fish, coaching and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), including training in marketing techniques and the production of healthy snacks such as chips. Additionally, the program includes an initiative for vertical gardens for vegetable cultivation and the provision of environmental cleaning tools.

The kick-off event for Kelurahan Sehat 2023 program was attended by the President Director of PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk, Dr. Ian Martin Wibawa Kloer; the District Head of Citeureup, Dr. Ridwan Said S, Stp. MSI; and the Head of Karang Asem Barat Village, Wahyudi, S.E., along with representatives from the Agricultural and Fisheries Office of Bogor Regency and local residents who have actively participated in the program.

Dr. Ian Martin Wibawa Kloer, President Director of Darya-Varia, explained, "Since its inception in 2019 until 2022, we have assisted more than 1,315 households, and in 2023, we will involve 605 households. Darya-Varia has high hopes for Kelurahan Sehat Program because it aims to improve the health and well-being of the community through community empowerment. This step aligns with Darya-Varia's vision and mission, which is to Build a Healthier Indonesia One Person at a Time. We hope this program will run successfully and provide sustainable benefits to community in the vicinity of the Citeureup Factory."
