The Minister of Foreign Affairs, João Gomes Cravinho, will be in Mexico City, this Monday, where he will meet with its counterpart, the Secretary of Foreign Relations of Mexico, Alicia Bárcena, in the context of strengthening bilateral relations, namely in the economic area, considering the potential complementarity that exists between Mexico and Portugal. In the work agenda, there is a highlight on the role of Portuguese companies in projects of relevant interest and the possibility of promoting cooperation initiatives in terms of ports and synergies.
Also complying with a program dedicated to the areas of culture and the Portuguese language, in the work agenda, there is a highlight on the visit to the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and the meeting with teachers and students from the Camões Centro for Portuguese Language, noting also the lecture where Minister Gomes Cravinho will speak to the students of the lectureship and the José Saramago Chair at UNAM.
Moreover, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have the opportunity to meet with businessmen from the largest Portuguese companies in Mexico, as well as with other community members.
