China Open to Start in Beijing on September 23

According to the organizing committee of the China Open, an annual tennis tournament, the 2024 session will take place from September 23 to October 6, covering most of the National Day holiday.

It is also learned from the organizing committee that the WTA Masters 1000 will have a 96-player draw for the China Open in 2024. Swiatek, Gauff, and Zheng Qinwen, among the top ten players in the WTA world rankings, sent their congratulations to the China Open via videos, expressing their expectations about participating this year. In addition, among the renowned contestants of ATP, the 2024 Australian Open's runner-up Daniil Medvedev and the Indian Wells champion Carlos Alcaraz will partake in this year's China Open.

The event will still feature dual finals. The two championship duels will be held during the National Day holiday. The WTA final will be held on October 6, and the ATP final on October 2. The matinee game will start at 11:00 and the evening game at 19:00.

Recently the organizing committee has started to solicit the theme slogans and mascot designs for the China Open from the whole society, based on the fundamental concept of "Vibrant China Open". The submission period will last for one month from now on.
