NYU Alumni and Faculty Win Four 2025 Grammy Awards

The 2025 Grammy Awards were presented Feb. 2, 2025 in Los Angeles.

The New York University community was honored with four awards at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held February 2 in Los Angeles.

Among this year's winners was Chandrika Tandon, an NYU trustee and chair of the board of the Tandon School of Engineering, who won the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album award for Triveni.

NYU received 19 nominations across multiple categories at the event, a star-studded affair recognizing excellence in the recording arts and sciences.

The nominations for NYU came in 13 categories, including Song of the Year, Best Rock Song, and Best Rap Song. In addition, NYU had four of the six nominees for Best Musical Theater Album. (That Grammy went to Hell's Kitchen, with book by Tisch and Gallatin grad and faculty member Kristoffer Diaz.)

In addition, four alumni and four faculty members contributed to projects that received nominations. They are: Jordan Perteet (TSOA), Gabi Grella (TSOA), Nija Charles (TSOA), Kaleb "KQuick" Rollins (TSOA), Steinhardt faculty Alan Ferber and John Scofield, and Tisch faculty Jim Anderson and Ulrike Schwarz.
