Uniontown, PA- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that single-lane restrictions are scheduled to begin Monday, April 1 at 7:00 AM on Route 653 (Jim Mountain Road) between Route 381 (Mill Run Road) and Pritts Road in SpringfieldTownship, Fayette County.

The restrictions are anticipated through late November, depending on weather and operations, and temporary traffic signals will be used in both directions.

Crews from Carmen Paliotta Contracting, Inc. will be removing the existing superstructure that carries Route 653 (Jim Mountain Road) over Indian Creek and replacing it with a new two-span simple composite concrete I-Beam bridge. They will also be reconstructing portions of the existing substructure. This project is a $2.69 million infrastructure investment.

Exercise caution while approaching and within the work zone. Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
