McEachin Announces Over $16.8 Million Grant for Emergency Medical Supplies

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04)announced a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) to the Bon Secours Hospital System for $16,854,269.87 for emergency pandemic supplies, such as masks, gowns, and face shields.

"As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and more elusive variants emerge and spread, our health care systems and workers feel the strain," said Rep. McEachin (VA-04). "This grant will help ensure that our health care workers have the supplies necessary to carry out their duties while protecting themselves and others. Personal protective equipment is another crucial tool in curbing the spread, so I am pleased this federal funding is being delivered."
