The Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited today, Friday 24 February 2023, the 110 Combat Wing (CW) at Larissa Air Base, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias and the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros. Also, by the Chief/HTAF Lieutenant General (AF) Georgios Fasoulas, and the Ambassador of the US to Athens Mr. George Tsunis.

Mr. Prime Minister was briefed by the Commander of 110 CW Colonel (AF) Argyrios Moustroufis, on its ongoing activities and operational work, and he discussed with flying crew, technicians and executive staff personnel at the Wing.

Moreover, Mr. Minister had the opportunity to see firsthand and be briefed on the US UAVs MQ-9 REAPER of the USAFE, deployed at Larissa's military airport since November 2022, with support personnel.

After the visit was concluded at the 110 CW, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Higher Army Support Military Command, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, he visited the HQs of the 303 and 304 Forward Base Plants at Larissa and Velestino-Magnesia respectively.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence was received, at his visits to the two plants, by the Commander of the Military Plants Command/Higher Army Support Military Command, Brigadier General Georgios Ouroumidis.

At 303 Forward Base Plant, the Deputy Minister of National Defence was toured at the areas and installations of the plant, and was briefed by its Commander, Colonel Konstantinos Bouris, on its work. He also observed a display of the constructions and innovative applications developed by the plant.

At 304 Forward Base Plant, Mr. Hardalias was briefed by its Commander, Colonel Sotirios Argyropoulos, on the repair work and the challenged faced by the plant. He was also toured at the areas of the repair teams and installations.

At both the military plants, the Deputy Minister of National Defence had the opportunity to discuss with military and civilian personnel.
