Temporary Change in Traffic Pattern at Midland & Iowa Intersection Starting May 11 as Project Enters

The City of Nampa is constructing a new roundabout at the Midland Boulevard and Iowa Avenue intersection. Beginning Saturday, May 11, traffic control measures will be altered to allow the flow of a single northbound lane through the construction zone along Midland Blvd. While the east leg of Iowa Ave. will remain open, westbound traffic on Iowa Ave. will be restricted to a right turn onto Midland Blvd. at the intersection.

The first phase of the intersection project has been completed and focused on paving, sidewalks, curbs and gutters on the east side of the intersection. The next phase of the project will focus on the construction of the west side of the intersection.

Construction to build a roundabout at the intersection of Midland Blvd. and Iowa Ave. is being done in phases to minimize impact to drivers. Every effort is being made to keep as much access as possible for drivers. A temporary full closure of the intersection is planned after school is released for summer break to expedite the completion of the project. The entire project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2024.
