Overhead Sign Installation Planned Next Week on U.S. 1 in Bensalem Township

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead sign installation is scheduled next week on U.S. 1 under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen and improve a three-mile section of the highway in Bensalem and Middletown townships.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Thursday, March 21, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, lane closures with intermittent 15-minute stoppages will in place on northbound and southbound U.S. 1 between Street Road (Route 132) and the Bristol Road overpass.
  

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
