No damages following tornado warning issued for Moloka`i

County of Maui officials partially activated the County's emergency operating center the night of Jan. 8, 2024, in response to weather conditions that included a tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service at 7:15 p.m. The tornado warning ended at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 8.

No damages have been reported. Moloka`i residents are advised to call the Moloka`i non-emergency number for Maui Police Department at 808-553-5355 to report damages. With a potential for flooding forecasted for all islands the County's Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor conditions.
