Village of Hamburg - Elevated Water Storage Tank (SBL NO. 183.13-2-6.111).

Negative Declaration

Erie County - The Village of Hamburg, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Elevated Water Storage Tank, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to construct a 1.25 MG elevated water storage tank on a 2.23 ± acre parcel to replace two existing 250,000 gallon elevated water storage tanks at Janice Place and Long Avenue. Proposed work includes an elevated water storage tank 175 ± foot high; 2,300 ± foot of 16 inch transmission main, 1,500 ± foot of 12 inch distribution main, booster pump station, access drive, new paving, drainage, site grading and dark-sky security lighting. The Village of Hamburg in under an administrative order on consent with the United State Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) as a result of a Notice of Significant Deficiencies (Consent Order SWDA-02-2022-8013). The project is located 5999 South Park Avenue in the Village of Hamburg, New York.
