Celebrate the Holidays Across the City with Pearland Parks & Recreation and Your Community

Embrace the festive spirit and join Pearland Parks & Recreation for joyous celebrations in December. The Hometown Christmas Festival will take place on Friday, December 1st, from 6 to 9 p.m. Following the festival, the 41st Annual Hometown Christmas Parade will be hosted on Saturday, December 2nd at 6 p.m.

Admission to both the Hometown Christmas Festival and the 41st Annual Hometown Christmas Parade is free.

Hometown Christmas Festival

The enchanting Hometown Christmas Festival is set to kick off the holiday season in Independence Park (3449 Pearland Pkwy) on Friday, December 1st, featuring KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul as co-emcee. This heartwarming event features a variety of holiday entertainment, shopping opportunities, musical performances, captivating light displays all-month long, food trucks, and much more! Join us for a lively stage program with esteemed guests such as Santa Claus, City Council members, community leaders, and Mayor Cole.

This year's light displays--supported by the Inaugural Lights Display Sponsors Lone Star Recreation, Texas Emergency Care, Frontier Waste, and The Diane Villareal Jenkins Family --will be available for all to enjoy December 1st to December 31st from 6 - 9 p.m.

Don't forget to stop by the HEB Winter Wonderland and stay for the fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. and photo booth sponsored by University of Houston Clear Lake!

Blitzen's Bazaar market will also be on-site featuring over 100 vendors to help knock Christmas shopping off your list. The market will be located at the Independence Park pavilion December 1st 6 - 9 p.m. and December 2nd 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

General parking for the Hometown Christmas Festival will be available at Pearland High School (3775 S. Main), with ADA parking conveniently situated at the Independence Park Liberty Drive Entrance.

Hometown Christmas Parade

On Saturday, December 2nd, the parade will traverse FM 518 (Broadway), from Old Alvin Road to Pearland Parkway, welcoming dozens of floats, vibrant marching drill teams, classic cars bedecked in lights, and various other exuberant walking groups-promising an evening of winter wonder.

Festival of Lights

The holiday spirit doesn't stop there! This year, Second Baptist's Festival of Lights is conveniently located at the Pearland Town Center from December 15th to December 24th from 6 -10 p.m. to spread Christmas cheer across all of Pearland.
