On Sunday, March 24, 2023, at 11 a.m., members of the Toronto Police Service will once again be participating 2024 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge in support of programming and events for 23,000 athletes across the province. Special guest, Raptors Ambassador Jamaal Magloire, will also be in attendance.

"I will be taking the plunge, alongside members of the Toronto Police Service, other local emergency services, and brave plungers from across the GTA to raise funds for Special Olympics Ontario," said Chief Myron Demkiw.

The Toronto Police Service has proudly supported Special Olympics athletes since 1987 when it hosted Canada's first Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario.

Join us and get #FreezinForAReason with the Toronto Police Service family at the Tundra Trek, near the Cariboo Café. (Five minute walk from entrance)

Registration begins at 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Those who register to plunge will receive a Polar Plunge towel, free admission, and free parking at the zoo. Friends and family accompanying plungers get 50% off admission to the Zoo.

Members of the TPS Marine Unit and Toronto Fire Service will be lending a helping hand to plungers, ensuring their safety. There will be warming tents on site.
