As a member of the firm's cybersecurity, privacy and data protection practice, Molly counsels corporations in data breach investigations and notifications, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) cybersecurity compliance and regulatory issues, privacy and data protection compliance, class action litigation, and cloud computing advice. She is a monthly contributor to AG Data Dive, which covers cybersecurity, privacy and other data-related topics impacting organizations across the globe.
Molly has managed a large docket of cases that span numerous jurisdictions. Within the bounds of each case, she works effectively with a range of co-counsel and opposing counsel, as well as with other attorneys on the Akin Gump team. Highly organized, Molly is adept at keeping the work streams of numerous ongoing cases moving in a timely and cost-effective way.
Since joining Akin Gump, Molly has tried several cases to verdict, with some of those trials coming as a prosecutor in the Dallas County District Attorney's Office as a lawyer on loan.
Molly is also very active in the firm's pro bono practice-accruing over 200 pro bono hours per year-and has been honored multiple times by the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas.
