Blocking Traffic During a Protest is Dangerous and Life Threatening

Yesterday's protests that blocked traffic to O'Hare International Airport were a reminder of how dangerous and life-threatening this activity can be. Lives are at stake when first responders are delayed and cannot get through to their destinations.

People trying to get to O'Hare were forced to leave their vehicles and walk to the airport to catch their flights, which created major public safety concerns.

We need to do more to protect our residents and I will be filing a bill to make sure we do.
