Las Vegas City Council To Recognize Work Of UNLV School Of Nursing

Nursing School Promotes, Improves And Sustains Human Health

The Las Vegas City Council will recognize the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Nursing at the April 20, 2022, City Council meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.

Ward 1 Councilman Brian Knudsen will honor the UNLV School of Nursing for its work in making Las Vegas a safer and healthier community. The school's mission is to educate nurses at the undergraduate and graduate levels to meet the healthcare needs in Las Vegas and beyond. The school focuses on evidence-based education and advances in research and practice.

In addition, the City Council is also scheduled to recognize the April Employee of the Month.

The meeting will be broadcast live on KCLV-TV Channel 2, the city's government access television station, and at www.kclv.tv/live.

Public comment will be available for items on the agenda until 5 p.m. April 19 at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcomment. Those wishing to comment on items on the council agenda are invited to do so online, or to attend the meeting in person and participate in the public comment periods.
