ADL 234294: Notice of Intent to Issue Upland Mining Lease in Kenai, Alaska

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land & Water (DMLW) has received a request from the following holders of mining leasehold location to convert them into mining upland leases, under AS 38.05.205(a) and 11 AAC 86.305. The claims are located on land in which the State of Alaska owns the mineral estate, and the surface estate has been conveyed to the Kenai Peninsula Borough. Minerals may not be explored for, mined, or marketed until a lease is issued and a survey completed. Unless DMLW is notified of conflicting interest, a lease will be issued to the locator in 30 or more days after the date of this notice.

Holders Donald Wright, 406 Cinderella St, Kenai Alaska, 99611 of leasehold location ADL 661143 (Bull Moose) in Seward Meridian, Township 005 North, Range 002 West Section 30 to convert to Upland Mining Lease ADL 234294

Mining lessees have the exclusive right of possession and extraction of locatable minerals subject to AS 38.05.185 - 38.05.275. Leases are issued for the term it takes to mine and are renewable if necessary. The lease will require mandatory rent and production royalty requirements. Once the lease is issued, the lessee must obtain all required permits before exploration or mining can occur.
