On 19 November, a cyclone passed over the territory of the Belgorod, Voronezh and Kursk regions, accompanied by gusty winds, freezing rain, sleet and ice phenomena. As a result of unfavourable weather conditions, emergency power outages occurred in a number of settlements.

Employees of Belgorodenergo, Voronezhenergo and Kurskenergo were mobilized in advance and provided with all the necessary forces and means to eliminate technological violations.

In the Belgorod region, the liquidation of the consequences of incidents was completed at two in the morning, in the Voronezh region all consumers were powered at 10:00 am on 20 November, in the Kursk region, work continues, additional forces and means were quickly sent there - a total of 35 crews.

A well-established, constructive dialogue within the framework of interdepartmental interaction with the Main Directorates of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and close interaction with the authorities and the Unified Call Centre allowed the power engineers to receive information about the technological violations in a timely manner, responding and eliminating them as quickly as possible. Temporary information centres for work with the population were quickly deployed. First of all, socially significant institutions and communal infrastructure facilities were powered.

"At a high level of readiness to meet adverse events and respond to their consequences without delay - this is the main task of power engineers in the autumn-winter period. Employees of the companies will continue to work around the clock until the complete restoration of power supply to residents of the regions affected by adverse weather events," stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC - the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC.
