A breath-taking challenge in a breath-taking place - the Parc Margam 10k is back for 2024!

The third Parc Margam 10k run raising money for the Mayor of Neath Port Talbot's Charity Fund is to get under way in the beautiful surroundings of Port Talbot's Margam Country Park on Sunday, March 10th, 2024.

Choose between the 10k and 5k mixed terrain routes and help raise funds and awareness for the mayor's two amazing chosen charities: Harry's Fund and Tŷ Olwen Hospice.

Runners in the event, kindly sponsored by Trade Centre Wales, will pass alongside three of the park's lakes before meandering through its woodland trails and past the fields which are home to the famous Margam deer herd.

Register today (see link below) and be part of this exciting event in aid of the Mayor of Neath Port Talbot's nominated charities.

All runners will receive a 2024 Parc Margam 10k branded medal at the finish line. Parking for participants is free. Main car park and check-in open from 9:00am.The 10k & 5k runs start at 10:00am.

Participants must be 14 or older at the time of this event.

Please note: apart from the entry fee, there is no additional commitment to raise sponsorship for the two charities - but any extra support would be greatly appreciated!

The Mayor of Neath Port Talbot, Cllr Chris Williams, said: "The Parc Margam 10k is a great way to exercise and at the same time take in the beautiful views in this most special of places.

"You can also have the chance raise money for worthwhile charities in these lovely surroundings and I'd like to thank all those planning to take part in this year's event."
